A Wild Month So Far

The month started off in grand fashion, on an airplane headed for the South Carolina coast. It was a wonderful weekend on Kiawah, with tennis, beach time, golf, and family, all culminating in Kit and Brad’s lovely wedding ceremony. It couldn’t have been nicer, frankly. Jenn and I both came away from the trip blown away by how well our Lindsay did. All the flights (4) and connections, airport time, shuttling here and there, waiting, late nights, and she never really had a melt-down. She was, and is, an amazing little girl.

We had a light week after we returned, then Jenn and I had a great time at the White Stripes concert on the 10th. They sounded great, and were extremely entertaining. Such rock stars, really. That Jack boy is something of a control freak. He could frequently be seen instructing his crew to adjust a monitor or mic, and they would scurry off and do it. At one point, Jack was set up by Meg near the drums doing a back-and-forth number. She played her part, and he reached out and silenced the cymbal before he sang his verse. Sheesh! They played a very fun gig, though, that’s for sure.
