It was a busy month around here, with all three of us sick at one time or another. We were extremely fortunate to have avoided illness for most of the season, but the last gasp of winter caught us. Despite the blahs, we managed to make our share of memories.

This past weekend we took a trip over to Charlottesville, VA (In Lindsay’s mind, the airplane ‘jumped’ through the air and over the mountains) to celebrate Papa’s birthday and to finally introduce Lindsay to Susan, Howard, & Matt. She thought the three of them were just great, and is already scheming another visit. Papa managed to steal Lindsay away at every opportunity, as did Kit and Brad. So many fans, so little time…

Recently Lindsay has composed her first song lyrics. It’s a bit of an interpretive fusion piece, to the tune of “Jesus Loves Me”:

Jesus Elmo Jesus Elmo Bible bible bible HEY!

It isn’t entirely clear whether she’s making a theological claim with her lyrics, or whether they’re just a stream-of-consciousness riff. Only time will tell, I suppose.
